Google Play Open Testing — release status confirmed October 23, 2026

2.0.0-Beta-31 — Build 85

Beta-31 / Build 85 has been released to Google Play Open Testing. Availability may vary during rollout; check Google Play for the build offered to your device.

Startup, Guide and playback

Startup defers unopened feature resources, avoids speculative FastZap resources when disabled, and reduces unnecessary idle polling and player-view work. Guide queries and initialization are optimized while retaining existing playback, surface, audio and focus ownership.

Host regression checks do not establish a measured speed improvement on your television. Existing device-specific video and native-crash reports still require hardware evidence.

Clearer Full Backup & Restore

Open Settings → Sync, Backup & Restore → Backup & Restore. Create Backup and Restore Backup remain distinct; Drive account controls stay in this child screen.

Password fields start hidden, with explicit reveal controls. Full portable v6 archives retain selected EPG/source/sidecar data. Private database snapshots release the live capture transaction before archive serialization; storage requirements still depend on database and WAL size.

Restore validates archives before destructive work, keeps durable rollback evidence and blocks further mutations when destructive recovery remains unresolved. Keep an external backup and its original encryption password for reinstall recovery; sign-in cannot recover a forgotten password.

Incremental Backup remains disabled. No incremental UI, scheduling, remote integration or user-accessible incremental recovery points are included in Beta-31.

Local Network Sync recovery

Lost endpoints and empty reused discovery sessions can request coalesced, rate-limited browse recovery. Obsolete browser callbacks and stale same-name resolve attempts cannot overwrite newer discovery results. Existing pairings remain stored; an offline pairing is not a Ready endpoint.

Local Network Sync is separate from Drive. Multicast delivery and real paired-TV operation remain subject to your devices and network.

Access and Drive availability

Free retains one active playlist, up to three days of EPG, Live TV/music, favorites, one registered device and basic manual local backup/restore. Premium/Lifetime retain unlimited playlists, up to fourteen days of EPG, eight registered devices, Movies/Series, Multi-View, Local Network Sync, full portable creation, remote backup/restore, scheduling and plugins.

Unconfigured native Drive builds remain unavailable Preview. Configured builds expose native encrypted backup and password-aware recovery after Premium and authorization checks. Configuration does not establish production OAuth approval or real-account acceptance. No live cloud availability is announced.

Existing U.S. reference prices remain $2.99 monthly, $11.99 yearly and $29.99 lifetime. Google Play shows eligible trials and final localized terms.

Release and acceptance

Beta-31 / Build 85 has been released to Google Play Open Testing. Availability may vary during rollout; check Google Play for the build offered to your device. Physical-TV playback, remote focus/Back, storage and destination/account recovery remain device-dependent acceptance areas. The planned January 6, 2027 full public release is separate.
